Govanhill Youth Club Presents THE GRINCH
(Workshop leader and show director)
Inspired by the beloved children’s book ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!‘ by Dr Seuss, which uses rhymed verse, zany imagery and humour to criticise the commercialisation of Christmas. I led 10 weeks of physical theatre workshops in ensemble building, expressive choreography, object manipulation, shadow play and storyboarding with the Govanhill Youth club to bring the story to life!
I was able to express myself freely, I can not do this at home, so I hope it continues (Boy 12)
I have met new friends, It is one of the best experiences of my life, so much fun (Boy 11)
Through attending the drama group, my daughter’s confidence has grown to a level I did not feel it ever would. The staff built her up so much, she is like a different person. Thank you so much for letting her be a part of it (Parent)
As a youth worker and Southsider I was really excited to go and see the Grinch. What a DIY gem it was! The energy from the group performing was infectious and they had the whole audience (audience member)

URBAN by Circolombia
(Puppets, Merchandise and Company assistant, Tshirt and CD Design FIST)
World tour 2011-2013
URBAN is a freestyle portrait of a society, incorporating both joy and violence, where dance and music are the safety valves of everyday life. It features the best of the Colombian national circus school Circo Para Todos. A true narrative of the streets of Cali, URBAN is based on the lives of the young cast; telling the world what its like in their reality, through their eyes, ears, and voices.
URBAN is a tale of confrontation and redemption, of gangs and individual freedom, of poetics and cruelty. Infused with live reggaeton and volcanic, wild, but perfectly mastered acrobatics, it shows that with passion and dedication you really can touch the stars.
